The AGM is the best forum for discussion throughtout the year. It is usually an excellent and well-attended evening. If you have questions, issues or suggestions then the AGM is the best place to air them with the wider group. It is all gratefully received.

There will also be a chairman’s report covering the main decisions of 2011, the financials and the business plan for 2012 and beyond.

The boat launch is coming soon! We’re planning to get the first one on the water on the Saturday of Easter weekend.

Last year we were gifted with beautiful weather for the planned launch day and we had an excellent turnout of new members for their first sets of the season.

As always HUGE thanks to Norman for keeping the boats in such amazing condition over the winter. The re-upholstery is looking fantastic!

If the weather is bad on easter weekend then we will defer until the following weekend. If the weather is glorious we may bring it forwards so keep your eyes here for updates!

The day was a great success, a group of 19 young men arrived ready to take to the water. We had a mixed group of waterskiing and wakeboarding with all but one of them succeeding at getting up and finding their water legs. The BBQ was a fitting end to such an active morning!

It has been a long winter but spring is upon us and the club has had a good spring clean to make it ready for the rapidly approaching summer. Thanks to Allan you can see some pictures of the club, minus the second hut, in the members forum.

The first boat will arrive at the club on Sunday the 10th April

Thanks as always to Norman for keeping them in such good shape over winter. If the weather is bad we will defer launch until the following weekend.

Fitted Ballast

Over the winter we have ordered some new fatsacs for TWSC. They will be fitted in the second boat before launching sometime after the 10th April. If you got fed up of filling the sacs last season then you can look forward to dashboard controls this season which should make the evenings easier for everyone and the weekends much more efficient.

Hopefully you’ll all come down soon after the 10th so brush the cobwebs off!

A lot of members have reported issues with the second cabin over the summer. It’s been a target for thieves and is falling down so we have decided to demolish the hut with a view to installing some secure storage.

The demolition will take place over two days in February:

The 5th February
The 19th February

We need a group of willing club members to come down and help us demolish the cabin. We will be safely collapsing the cabin, burning what we can and disposing of the rest at the local tip.

Although we don’t really have anything of value to thieves it is a nuisance to replace the old wakeboards and skis following the break-ins. This is a really important job so please spare a day on either of the above dates to come and help.

On 17th October 2010 we are running a day to make sure that the club us left in a decent state over the winter. We would really value your help!

If you’ve been down and enjoyed the club this year, as a member or guest, we would love your assistance.

We will be posting a list of the tasks we hope to accomplish on the forum. It’s sad to think about the season ending in the near future but a few trips to the mountains into the future we’ll be back before you know it! In the mean time we are still skiing every weekend so please keep coming down to get the most out of the club before we put the boats away at the end of October.
