The open day is a fun day that we run a couple of times each summer. It is a fun day designed to bring in new faces to try the facilities as well as providing a very social day for members past, present and future to meet.

The main incentive is that we reduce the price of all guest tickets to the same price as member tickets for the whole day. So you can come and pay £7 for as many sets as you can fit in!

The boat launch is coming soon! We’re planning to get the first one on the water on Easter Friday!

Last year we were gifted with beautiful weather for the planned launch day and we had an excellent turnout of new members for their first sets of the season.

As always HUGE thanks to Norman for keeping the boats in such amazing condition over the winter. The re-upholstery is looking fantastic!

Looking forward to seeing more members and guests for the start of the 2012 season!

The weather forecast looks good at the moment but if it changes then we will defer until the following weekend. If the weather is glorious we may bring it forwards so keep your eyes here for updates!

We would love you to come and join in on the day to meet new members and catch up with old ones while getting through some of the jobs. We’re all looking forward to water-skiing, wakeboarding and sunshine to come back to our little oasis in Reading!

There won’t be anything strenuous required but a little help with cutting grass, checking the jetty and sorting out the equipment would be much appreciated.

If you can spare an hour or two then please come down from 10am on the 24th March. There will be a team down there until the early afternoon when the club will be sharpened up for the new season.

Sport England, in partnership with Ipsos MORI, is conducting its fourth annual sport satisfaction survey which aims to understand people’s sporting experiences across the country. With your help, Sport England and British Water Ski & Wakeboard will gain a greater understanding of what motivates people to play sport, the challenges participants face and what can be done to improve sport for you.

By taking part in the survey, you will help British Water Ski & Wakeboard become more responsive to your needs and do more to encourage new participants.

The AGM is the best forum for discussion throughtout the year. It is usually an excellent and well-attended evening. If you have questions, issues or suggestions then the AGM is the best place to air them with the wider group. It is all gratefully received.

There will also be a chairman’s report covering the main decisions of 2011, the financials and the business plan for 2012 and beyond.

All present and future members welcome. If youre thinking of joining TWSC in 2012 then come down and meet the team!

The day was a great success, a group of 19 young men arrived ready to take to the water. We had a mixed group of waterskiing and wakeboarding with all but one of them succeeding at getting up and finding their water legs. The BBQ was a fitting end to such an active morning!
